The Elektra shoe style has its base point inspiration from the ancient greek leather sandal, with its prominent external stitching and simple criss cross leather strap across the upper of the shoe.
All leather sole and upper with rubber heel for stability. Extra buckle holes and back ankle support.
Simplistic craftmanship that is eyecatching but not overstated; cool and modern, day and night.
Designed in Australia in a beautiful seasonal colour which for 2010-2011 are in soft pastels, think -lavender, pink, yellow, nude, grey.
Elektra is a Greek word “ilektor” that means the shining sun in ancient Greek, or from the work “electron” that means amber.
Elektra was the main character in the Greek tragedies Elektra by Sophocles and Elektra by Euripides and has inspired various other works.
Elektra is a fragile person, despite her fragility. Elektra is the “shining one”.
